DMU (Hydraulic)

(1) Select the track gauge. If 'Narrow Gauge' is checked, narrow gauge trains are designed.

(2) Select the technology level. If 'Apply State of the Art Technology' is checked, designed trains are more light weight and efficient.

(3) Select the train set type--Diesel Multiple Unit.

Click 'Next'.

(1) Specify the transmission type.

(2) Set 'Lock Up Ratio' to specify the velocity to by-pass the hydraulic converter.

(3) Set the delay time to change transmission gears.

(4) Set the fuel consumption. The unit is gram kw hour.

(5) Set the fuel consumption when the engine is idle. The number is the permillage against the fuel consumption at maximum output.

Click 'Next'.

(1) Specify the train formation. '5M4T' represents the consist of 5 motive cars and 4 trailer cars.

(2) Set the output of one motive car.

Click 'Next'.

(1) Specify the designed speed. If the track gauge is narrow, the maximum speed is limited to 260km/h

(2) Specify the train characteristics. 
If 'High Speed Light-weight Train Set' is selected, more lighter weight and lower running resistance  is applied.

Click 'Next'.

  Click 'Next' and save the data.

If you wish to check the train performance, click 'Tractive Effort' or 'Acceleration' or 'Output at wheel'.
